Prof. Mingdong Wang | IEEE Member

Zhengzhou University, China

Mingdong Wang is a professor and head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Zhengzhou University. He holds a Ph.D. in Power System and Automation from Harbin Institute of Technology. His research focuses on power system analysis, control, planning, renewable energy integration, and intelligent system theory applications. He joined the university in 1992 and progressed through ranks, becoming associate professor in 2011, department head in 2015, and professor in 2020. In 2012, he served as deputy chief engineer at XJ Electric under a provincial talent service program, and in 2018 he was a visiting scholar at the University of Birmingham. He chaired the 5th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology in 2025. He has led projects including a State Grid Kaifeng power supply company's 14th Five-Year development study and a Henan Natural Science Foundation project on DFIG control for high wind penetration. He authored a monograph on grey system theory and holds several patents. He teaches doctoral courses in advanced electrical engineering, master's courses in modern control theory, and undergraduate courses in power system automation. He has received the Linfeng Teaching Fellowship, a second prize in Henan Natural Science Excellent Engineering, and the university's teaching excellence award.

Assoc. Prof. Khadim Moin Siddiqui | IEEE Senior Member

Dr. Khadim Moin Siddiqui (Senior Member, IEEE) holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (2017). He is currently an Associate Professor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at SR Institute of Management & Technology, Lucknow, with over 14 years of academic experience. His research focuses on condition monitoring of electrical machines, signal processing, and power converters & drives. Dr. Siddiqui has authored more than 70 research publications, holds three patents (one granted), and has published four research books, two of which have been translated into multiple languages. His scholarly work has garnered over 575 Google Scholar citations with an h-index of 12. An active IEEE volunteer, he is a Senior Member of the PES, Power Electronics, and Signal Processing Societies. He has received awards including the IEEE UP Section Young Professional Star (2021) and Outstanding PES Chapter Advisor Award (2022). Dr. Siddiqui has served in editorial roles such as Lead Guest Editor for special issues of IEEE Renewable Power Generation and Distributed Generation & Alternative Energy Journal, and as a reviewer for numerous international journals and conferences. He has also coordinated IEEE R10 projects and organized several events in leadership capacities.

Assoc. Prof. Yun Liu | IEEE Senior Member

South China University of Technology, China

Yun Liu, Ph.D. in Engineering, is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Electric Power, South China University of Technology. He received his B.Eng. (2011) and Ph.D. (2016) from Zhejiang University, with a CSC-supported joint training at the University of Central Florida (2014–2015). He worked as a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University (2016–2017), then as a Distinguished Associate Researcher at Shenzhen University (2017–2021), before joining SCUT in 2021. His research focuses on stability analysis and control of renewable power systems, AI applications in energy systems, and cyber-physical power system security. He has led over 20 projects, including NSFC General and Youth programs and a National Key R&D sub-project. He has published papers with over 3,000 citations and an H-index of 27, including two ESI Highly Cited Papers. He has been recognized as a Stanford Top 2% Scientist and received multiple Outstanding Reviewer awards from IEEE PES and other journals. He is an IEEE Senior Member, Deputy Secretary-General of the IEEE PES Smart Building Technical Committee (China), and serves on the editorial boards of several SCI journals.
